Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete inside the app

If you still have Lang Shadow installed, this is the fastest way:

1. Open the Lang Shadow app and sign in
2. Go to the Profile tab
3. Tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner
4. Select Delete Account
5. Confirm by tapping Delete account

Your account is deactivated immediately and you are signed out. Deletion of the underlying data then proceeds on the schedule described below.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in, send us a deletion request and we will process it for you. Email wisbi.dev@gmail.com with:

• Subject: Account Deletion Request
• The email address you signed in with (Google or Apple)
• Your display name as it appears in the app

We verify that the request comes from the registered account holder, then delete the account. We respond within 30 days of receipt, and normally much sooner.

What gets deleted

The following data is permanently deleted:

• Your account and profile (name, email address, avatar, user ID)
• Pronunciation scores and per-sound results
• AI conversation messages and lesson history
• Notebook entries, flashcards and saved items
• Learning goals, streaks, XP and league standings
• Device identifiers and push notification tokens

Voice recordings are not stored on our servers. "My voice" recordings are kept only on your phone and are removed when you uninstall the app.

What we keep, and for how long

• Payment transaction records — retained for up to 7 years where required by tax and accounting law. These contain purchase records only, not your learning content.
• Backup copies — deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before those backups are rotated out.
• Analytics and crash data — tied only to an internal user ID, never to your name or email, and removed by Firebase under its standard retention period.

How long deletion takes

• Your account is deactivated and access ends immediately
• All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days

Your subscription

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, so you must cancel there:

• Android: Google Play app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
• iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions

Refunds are subject to Google and Apple policies.
